What God Says About....

HIS SPIRIT

One God in three persons.  That is perhaps one of the most difficult things for us to understand about our Creator. 

God the Father is the almighty Creator of the universe.  God the Son is our Savior, who walked the earth in human form and has now returned to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father. 

It is the indwelling presence of God the Spirit that enables the Christian to live a holy life, as the Father expects and desires.

Romans 8:13 tells us "...if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live." 

The Holy Spirit is a gift given to Christians at the time of their baptism nto the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  He gives the Christian guidance and pleads before God on our behalf. (Romans 8:26)

God has provided a chance for us to live with him eternally, but it requires a change of heart and a change in lifestyle. 

We can't do this on our own, we need the guidance and direction of God's Spirit.
